The Dotrin presents

The Daily Fellowship of Bread

What we believe

We believe in the Dot. The center is the faith, and it is all. It is one point, called by a thousand names, small enough to hold and big enough to hold us all.

Every tradition, every name for the divine, every soul, all of it is held in that one point.

This faith is called the Dotrin.

    Join the circle

A membership is a monthly gift that keeps the table set all year. Every member is a dot in the pattern, small on its own, part of something whole. Give what you can; change or cancel anytime.

    Questions & answers

    Frequently asked questions

    Who can receive food?

Anyone who needs it. There's no ID requirement, no income check, and no paperwork. People of all faiths and backgrounds are welcome at the table.

    How much does it cost?

Nothing. Food is always free, for anyone who comes.

Do I need to sign up or qualify?

You don't need to prove anything to receive food. To get the distribution location, just email us and we'll send you the details.

When and where is the distribution?

We're just getting started and don't have a set schedule yet. Email us and we'll tell you about the next distribution and exactly where to find it, as soon as it's set.

What kind of food do you share?

Wholesome surplus produce, bread, and pantry goods recovered from local grocers and retailers, good food that would otherwise be thrown away.

Do I have to share your faith to receive food or volunteer?

No. We're a faith community, but the table is open to everyone, whatever you believe. Receiving food and volunteering come with no expectations.

How can I give, and are donations tax-deductible?

We're a California nonprofit religious corporation. If you'd like to give, or have questions about tax-deductibility, please email us and we'll help.
